A Settee, or Two

Here at The Attic, we have a lovely variety of settees to choose from. Settees are an easy addition to a special event, a styled shoot, or a wedding. It adds charm, seating, and a touch of elegance. Instead of using plastic rental chairs for a seating area, use a few settees and vintage chairs. Below are a few of the settees we have to offer, and then below those are pictures of the settees being used!

The Wedding Ladder

You or someone you know might have a wedding coming up, and the possibilities and ideas are endless. But you want this day to be different, special, and magical. Here at the Attic, we have rentals that can make it just that. One item that has endless uses and adds endless charm is none other than the simple, ladder. You'd think the rudimentary design of a ladder would lead to little purpose, but the possibilities are not only endless but adorable and one-of-a-kind! We have ladders that you can rent for your special day and look below for cute ways to incorporate them into your wedding decor!

We love the way the tea lights are staggered, illuminating a pathway to either the ceremony or reception! And to personalize this pathway even more, you can adorn the ladder with cute signs, or beautiful floral arrangements!

We love a fun and cute way to direct the guests to either the ceremony or the reception and what's better than with a ladder holding adorable signs pointing the way! We love the large pot with purple flowers, the personalization of the signs and the picture of the couple! This look is so easy to accomplish with a vintage ladder, flowers, and a few personal items from the groom and bride!

Want a creative way to involve your guests in the seating plan process, while keeping your decor chic? Well then, use a couple of ladders, with your string and tag preference, and hang the tags onto the string that draped from one ladder to another! Not only is cute in a very simple way, but it's fun and engaging!

If this isn't the cutest way to display your desserts, we dont know what is!  Add some ruffled cloth below the desserts, a few floral arrangements, and bunting in your colors and your guests are sure to love this perfect display of goodies! Not only is completely easy to create but it's so unique and chic!

Mismatched Vintage Chairs

Here at The Attic, we have an endless variety of mismatched, vintage chairs. Some of these chairs boast vintage fabrics, some a shabby chic white, and other boast a natural wood. Regardless, you're sure to find the perfect collection of chairs for your special day! Mismatched chairs bring a sophisticated yet chic feel to your wedding environment. Not only are the chairs adorable together, but you can also mix our chairs with our traditional church pews or Farm Table benches. Take a look at a few of our vintage chairs and how we used them!

Hay Bales

Hay Bales are a country chic way to add your special day! What's so great about hay bales is that they are like blank slates; you can customize them to your wedding theme! Just take cute blankets, quilts, textiles, etc and place them on top of the bales to tie in any color or pattern! What's also great about hay bales, is that they are green! After the wedding, donate them to a local farmer! Take a look at some of the ideas we found and liked and let us know if you're interested in using hay bales for your event or special day! There are endless possibilities!

Farm Table Benches

These benches are custom made by The Attic. This special collection took elbow grease and was made with lots of love! Our Farm Table set seats 200+ guests! These benches are beautiful and the lovely dark wood will add to any theme. These benches can also be mixed with chairs! Take a look at this incredible and beautiful collection!

Sneak Peak : Seating Alternatives

We’re excited for the busiest wedding season to approach! Whether you or someone you know is planning their special day, there are various alternatives to consider while designing and pulling together your dream wedding! We find that one of the most important design choices is seating. Seating is one of those design elements that really helps carry along the theme and idea of your wedding. There are so many choices to choose from! So we are going to feature a few choices that we have to offer, in a 2 part blog post. The first post will include traditional church pews and one of a kind quilts; the second blog post will include vintage inspired mismatched chairs, country chic hay bales, and our Farm Table benches. We'll walk you through the possibilities of each, the theme that each contribute to, and we'll include a few of our pictures from previous weddings and events to give you a visual of how it might look on your special day!

I've never had an intern before Taylor. She was definitely more than an intern and one of the smartest things I have done for my business this year! S

I've never had an intern before Taylor. She was definitely more than an intern and one of the smartest things I have done for my business this year! She acted as my assistant at every wedding, was extremely organized and detail oriented. Taylor was a very valuable addition to my team and I'm sad to see her gone for the winter as I could desperately use her help all year around. She'll be joining my wedding team again next year when she comes back to the Northwest!

How long have you been working in the wedding industry?

Officially, for 7 months.

When did you first become interested in the wedding and event industry? 

Almost 2 years ago. But I have always loved weddings, special events and parties. So I was surprised I didn't think about it sooner!

Unique formal occasions that really have a personal touch. But I do love throwing together smaller dinner parties.

What is your favorite part of living in the Northwest?

I love having four seasons. I love the lakes and having a white Christmas. I have been able to travel quite a bit, but Coeur d'Alene is honestly one of my favorite places to be in the whole world! :)

What is your family like?

Ridiculous. We love to have fun, and we're always remodeling our house. I have four nieces and nephews who I adore!

One or Two quirky facts about yourself?

I have never colored my hair.

I am a chocoholic and love Audrey Hepburn movies.

Danna & Matt | First Look!

This was a styled wedding by Alisa Lewis Event Design using props and furniture from the Attic. It took place on the banks of Cave Lake in Northern Idaho. We set up the reception in a gorgeous Aspen Grove. The ceremony took place on the lake front. 

It was just dreamy....the lake, the trees, the lights, the sunset...like a forrest fairyland!

On our way back we hit up this barn for some great treasures!
